This is a throwback album of music I composed between 2000-2005, i.e. when I was a teenager! I worked on these during and/or immediately after I released my first solo album The Opposite Way in 2003. This honestly would have been my second album if I hadn't decided to hold off a few years and work on Gem Stars instead (which itself had a few tracks from this time period). While it doesn't sound like anything I do today, it was very creative for the time and there are lots of surprises for you to enjoy. I'm really excited to release this for the first time and finally know that my teenage years were not a complete waste of time!

For this 2023 release, tracks 1,2,3,5,6,7,8 were merely remastered from the final mixes I completed by 2004-2005, brining levels and sound enhancement up to modern listening standards. Many of my original sound sources/effects I no longer have, so I had to go this way.

For tracks 4,9,10,11,12, I was able to return to the original audio/MIDI projects in the Cakewalk DAW software I use and render out brand-new mixes using my latest effects and tools. The most changes took place on the Veiled Moon suite - I added warm analog effects to some sounds and the result was pretty amazing.

All the music is instrumental, and all generated using digital synths (I didn't have any analog hardware at the time). Hardware synths included Korg N1R, Ensoniq KT-76, and Yamaha CS6x. Software synths included the CreamWare Scope DSP system, Native Instruments FM7 and Pro-53, Cakewalk Rapture, Propellerhead Reason, Spectrasonics Atmosphere, and probably a whole bunch of others I can't remember now!
